Is that the bakery? Gabriel Jesus says he had to change his diet

CITY forward Gabriel Jesus was forced to make a number of changes to his diet following his move to England from Palmeiras in 2017.

The Brazilian was handed City’s No.9 shirt in June last year and remains a crucial player under Pep Guardiola, scoring in both legs during the Champions League round of 16 victory against Spanish champions

Real Madrid. He was interviewed by Globo this week and discussed the number of changes he was forced to make to his lifestyle in order to succeed in the Premier League, mainly focusing on his diet.

“I had a change,” he said. “I used to eat a lot of junk food. Like pizza, hamburgers.

“(Now I eat) lots of salad, pasta, fruit, vegetables, I never thought my fridge would be like this.

“Before it was just chocolate, cake, pudding... I miss my pudding, man.”

Jesus regularly posts pictures on his Instagram page gaming with friends during downtime from City training and matches.

The forward says he regular plays with his Brazilian national teammates including Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar, who has helped the French side into Sunday’s

Champions League final in Portugal.

He added: “I really like to play. I think it’s therapy. I play with my friends, but I also play a lot with the national team. Usually Neymar, Casemiro, Arthur, Paqueta too. We play Counter Strike.

“People already recognised us in the game. Then it’s complicated. The guys keep talking, asking, even asking to subscribe to their profiles.”
