BRITAIN’S GOT TALENT: THE FINALISTS REVEALED TONIGHT, ITV, 6.30PM PRESENTING duo Ant and Dec, as well as the judges, are back for the BGT semi-finals – albeit without a studio audience. Simon Cowell is still recovering from the serious accident in which he broke his back, so his place on the panel will be taken by Diversity star Ashley Banjo.

PLANET EARTH: A CELEBRATIO­N

TOMORROW, BBC1, 8PM

SIR David Attenborou­gh has teamed up with a gaggle of award-winning musicians – including composer Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea and UK rapper Dave – for this retrospect­ive which brings together eight of the most extraordin­ary sequences from Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II.

SHERIDAN SMITH: BECOMING MUM TUESDAY, ITV, 9PM

IN MAY, the heavily pregnant Sheridan Smith took a starring role in an episode of ITV’s Isolation Stories, a series about different people coping with lockdown. That wasn’t the only filming she took part in though, as she prepared to become a firsttime mum. In this documentar­y the actress and singer and her partner Jamie tell of her pregnancy, and explores her struggles with mental health.

THE second series of the period drama starts with a double bill. In the opener, Lydia (Lesley Manville) finds herself in court facing the newly appointed Justice Hunt.

Meanwhile, Margaret (Samantha Morton) and Nancy (Kate Fleetwood) are trying to find people to give evidence against her.

COUNCIL HOUSE BRITAIN THURSDAY, CHANNEL 4, 9PM

THIS six-part documentar­y series goes inside one of the country’s biggest public landlords – Southwark Council – following the people working to keep the operation running.

JAMES NESBITT: A GAME OF TWO HALVES FRIDAY, ITV, 8PM AHEAD of Soccer Aid 2020 later this month, see how the £38m the event has raised since it began in 2006 is being used. James Nesbitt delivers essential supplies to youngsters in remote places, but filming took place when the global lockdown was kicking in so the journey is far from straightfo­rward.

SECRET SCOTLAND Saturday, Channel 5, 7.30pm COMEDIAN Susan Calman takes a jaunt around her homeland to uncover the untold tales behind some of Scotland’s most famous locations.
