Manchester United will assess Marcus rashford before thursday’s europa League quarter-final first leg against Granada.
rashford slotted in a 62nd minute equaliser in United’s 2-1 Premier League win over Brighton but had to come off 10 minutes later due to an impact injury.
the 23-year-old has missed two of the last five games and was forced off in two of the other matches but is unlikely to get a breather in the run-in due to anthony Martial’s injury.
Martial sprained his knee on international duty with France and United manager Ole Gunnar solskjaer claimed on the eve of the Brighton game Martial could miss the remainder of the season.
solskjaer swiftly contradicted that statement by suggesting Martial could be sidelined for a ‘few weeks’ but after the win admitted he would be ‘surprised’ if Martial plays any part in the next two months.
“Marcus, I think he got caught with a tackle, so he couldn’t carry on,” solskjaer clarified. “Very unfortunate situation again with anthony being out for a few weeks. If we get him back before the end of the season I’ll be surprised.
“he sprained his knee which isn’t nice. We’ve lost a very important player there, that’s football for you.” Marcus rashford scores against
