Pair seriously hurt in crash

A MAN and a woman were seriously injured after their car ploughed into a crash barrier on a M602 slip road.

Emergency services were called to Albion Way in Salford at about 10pm on Tuesday.

The man, 23, and woman, 21, were taken to hospital, where they remain with serious injuries.

The M602 was closed eastbound between junctions two and three.

Two lanes were also blocked on Regent Road.

Police say no arrests have been made, and inquiries are ongoing.

Constable Neil Pennington from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigat­ion Unit said: “We are appealing to anyone with informatio­n and/or dashcam footage to speak with police.

“Both individual­s remain in hospital with serious injuries, and any informatio­n could prove invaluable.”
