Txiki: ‘Significant moment for this club’
TXIKI Begiristain hailed a “significant moment” for Manchester City as a football club after Kevin De Bruyne agreed terms on a new deal.
De Bruyne, widely recognised as one of the best footballers in the game, has signed a new contract that extends his stay at the Etihad until 2025 and would mean he clocks up a full decade at the club should he see it out.
City are delighted to see the player’s commitment – especially as he still believes he can get even better – and can head into the summer transfer window knowing they have already achieved one of their main objectives.
Praising his dedication to the club as well as his quality, sporting director Begiristain is looking forward to being able to watch the Belgian playmaker for even longer.

His performance level has been remarkably consistent since coming to City, and in the last few years he has developed into one of the game’s elite players.
