RSK Group acquires four new businesses as its international reach grows
CHESHIRE-BASED RSK Group is eyeing further growth and making more acquisitions after buying almost 30 businesses in the last two years.
The integrated environmental, engineering and technical services business based in Helsby has outlined its objectives in newly filed documents to Companies House for its financial year to April 5, 2020.
The documents show that the group’s turnover increased from £208.5m to £279.6m in the year while its pre-tax losses widened from £9.5m to £15.7m.
During the year the group made 11 acquisitions including Consents Solutions, Geocore Site Investigations, ATP Architects + Surveyors, Silcock Leedham Group and Nicholas O’Dwyer.
During the following 13 months the group has made 16 further acquisitions including the four announced earlier this week.
The board said: “Although growth by acquisition is a key part of our strategy, so too is organic growth and the directors are pleased to report that many parts of the group demonstrated significant organic growth in FY20.
“The directors have an ambitious plan to grow the group significantly over the coming years with a strategy of bolt-on acquisitions and investment into our existing businesses.
“Each time a new business joins the group we work hard to identify growth opportunities - often we can combine resources from many of our companies to form a unique and compelling offer for our clients.
“In this way we can sustain substantial organic growth.
“We expect to continue growing across FY21 and FY22 - despite the impact of Covid, as the underlying demand for our services continues to grow.”
