often leaves him chasing shadows when United get countered, leaving his positioning a mess and the right side much more vulnerable than it should be.
The problems are only being exacerbated now Solskjaer has reverted back to the 3-4-1-2 formation, with Wan-Bissaka as the right wing-back. He has even more attacking responsibility in that formation but he just isn’t good enough there. The team looks unbalanced as a result and the attackers are left isolated with the back three often becoming a flat back five.

Not only would it suit WanBissaka much more to only have to focus on defending, but it would inject that bit more speed and agility in the back-three that is currently lacking with three hulking centrebacks.
Wan-Bissaka’s United career hasn’t gone well so far and it’s not all his fault, but this could be the catalyst to finally turn it around.
