THE PLATINUM PAGEANT Today, BBC1, 1pm

A wide variety of performers, including dancers and musicians, as well as military personnel, key workers and volunteers, come together to tell the story of Her Majesty the Queen’s remarkable 70-year reign, live from St James’s Park.

Those taking part represent nations from across the Commonweal­th. If you’re in the mood for more royal-themed fun, there’s a chance to see highlights from various events in Platinum Jubilee: What a Weekend over on BBC2 at 8pm.

LOVE ISLAND Tomorrow, ITV2, 9pm

This year, the dating show has moved away from its spot in Mallorca and taken up residency in a brand-new villa on the same Mediterran­ean island.

But while there’s a change of location, viewers can expect the usual hilarious challenges, dramatic recoupling­s and shock dumpings, as well as possibly another trip to the

infamous Casa Amor. The battle begins for the huge cash prize as host Laura Whitmore meets the latest contestant­s.

Her husband, comedian Iain Stirling, is the narrator.

COOKING WITH THE STARS Tuesday, ITV, 8pm

If you missed the first run of this series, think of it as Celebrity MasterChef with a dash of Strictly Come Dancing – and not just because this year the line-up includes ballroom judge Anton Du Beke.

As on Strictly, each celebrity will be paired with a profession­al, only in this case it’s a chef who aims to teach these passionate amateurs to produce restaurant-level food. Putting on their aprons alongside Anton are Dame Kelly Holmes, This Morning’s Josie Gibson, Chaser Anne Hegerty, Love Island’s Maura Higgins, TV expert Dr Ranj Singh, comedian Joe Wilkinson and DJ Woody Cook.

The experts are Rosemary Shrager, Ronnie Murray, Jack Stein, Judy Joo, JeanChrist­ophe Novelli, Tony

Singh, Clodagh McKenna and Mike Reid. Emma Willis and Tom Allen are presenting.

THE REPAIR SHOP Wednesday, BBC1, 8pm

Instrument expert Pete Woods has a challenge on his hands this week as a woman asks him to work his magic on a cornet that once belonged to her late mum and which she hopes to able to play again in her memory.

The team also tackles a ride-on rocking motorbike, and a much-loved monkey toy which has seen better days. Finally, book binding expert Chris Shaw and embroidery specialist Sara Dennis work to save an

autograph book containing the signatures of some of Britain’s leading suffragett­es.

HOLLYWOOD GREATS: JUDY GARLAND Thursday, BBC Four, 9pm

Jonathan Ross investigat­es the tragic life behind the glamorous image of actress and child star Judy Garland, who, away from the glare of public scrutiny, was an unhappy young woman who attempted to escape her despair with drugs.

The programme includes her greatest on-screen moments, and interviews with those close to the star, including Tony Bennett and Mickey Rooney.

WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIR­E? FOR SOCCER AID Friday, ITV, 9pm

Comedians Eddie Izzard and Omid Djalili are barmy about their favourite football teams. As a result, they’re both keen to participat­e in Soccer Aid this year. That’s why they’ve accepted the challenge to try and win £1m for the charity UNICEF.

THE BRITISH SOAP AWARDS 2022: LIVE Saturday, ITV, 8pm

After a two-year break due to Covid, the ceremony is back with a live show – and it’s once again hosted by Phillip Schofield. This year there will be 14 awards, including three voted for by the public. As always, fans can vote for Best Soap – and there’s a new category for Best Family.
