Difficult to see past Saints yet again

- Talking BETTING with founder of betfred

SALFORD have another chance to get a late winning run going when they host Betfred Super League strugglers Wakefield tomorrow.

The Red Devils are 8/15 to pick up both points against Trinity but remain among the rank outsiders at 250/1 for Grand Final glory.

After that hard-fought victory over Leeds on Thursday, league leaders Saints are favourites at evens with us to make it four Grand Final wins on the bounce.

Warrington are still trying to find their feet under coach Daryl Powell and are 25/1, while Wigan are still right in the mix at 4/1.

Matt Fitzpatrick’s sensational win in the US Open has catapulted one of golf’s Mr Nice Guys into the reckoning at 8/1 to be named 2022 BBC Sports Personality of the Year.

He’s still behind recordequalling Betfred World Snooker Championship winner Ronnie O’Sullivan, who remains the 3/1 favourite.

Sheffield-based Fitzpatrick’s win at Brookline was his first major – and frankly it couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke and his win has given the sport a shot in the arm with all the negative headlines at the moment.

Harry Kane is on the drift in the SPOTY market after that poor England performance against Hungary which has led to many fans, including myself, starting to wonder about how we’ll do in the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The Three Lions, who have hit poor form at the worst possible time with just two warm up games to go, are now thirdfavourites at 7/1 behind Brazil and France at 9/2 and 6/1 respectively to win the trophy.

Next up at 10/1 for SPOTY is Manchester boxer Tyson Fury, with F1 driver George Russell at 14/1 and Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson at 16/1.
