Neville and Keane (not that one) join Noel on festival bill


noel gallagher and gary neville are among the acts performing at kendal Calling this year.

The former oasis star will bring his high flying Birds to the Cumbrian festival in august, while ex-united player neville will dJ alongside Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess.

Tim said: “i’m very excited about the prospect of dJing with gary he’s got great taste in music.

“last time we shared a stage was when he joined The Charlatans on guitar. Can’t promise we’ll be doing any songs together but there might be an impromptu singalong at some point...”

paolo nutini, The streets and paul heaton with guest singer rianne downey are also on the bill, along with keane and sugababes.

among the other 120 acts at lowther deer park for the festival from august 1-4 are leigh band lottery winners, declan mckenna, kate nash, katy B, pale waves, The snuts, The reytons and The k’s.
