UNITED winger Jadon Sancho is reportedly open to restarting his career at Old Trafford – if Erik ten Hag is sacked.

On Tuesday, The i newspaper reported that Sancho had not given up on his stint at the Premier League club despite leaving the club under a cloud. The winger was exiled by Ten Hag in September after the forward accused the manager of lying about his performance levels in training and claimed he was the scapegoat.

But, with Ten Hag under increased pressure due to the Reds’ poor performance this season, Sancho may get his wish. However, his focus is currently on Borussia Dortmund, where he enjoyed a brilliant evening.

Despite taking a 2-0 lead on the night, Atletico Madrid managed to fight back to take advantage in the tie at 4-3. However, a crazy threeminute spell saw Niclas Fullkrug and Marcel Sabitzer both score to seal their spot in the last four.

Elsewhere among the United loanees, Mason Greenwood has been advised by former England boss Fabio Capello to leave Old Trafford in the summer. The working assumption is that Greenwood will be sold at the end of the campaign, and Capello thinks Juventus should look to target the winger, who has eight goals and five assists to his name in La Liga.

Meanwhile, Donny van de Beek’s hopes of sealing a permanent exit from Old Trafford have taken another blow.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano understands Eintracht Frankfurt are not willing to make the Dutch midfielder’s move to the club permanent in the summer.

Van de Beek has yet to play a full 90 minutes for his loan team and has made just seven appearances in the Bundesliga. When he arrived at the club in January, the 26-year-old said: “If you don’t play as many games as you want, it’s tough, but that’s the past now.

“I’m here now and I’m positive, which is the most important thing and then things can change. I’m looking forward now.

“I think it helps when you play with players [at United] who have achieved a lot and have experience. You see them in training every day, which helps develop you and I’ll try to bring that here as well to help the team.”
