RISING STARS!

The top ballers talk to MATCH about their jaw-dropping journeys so far!

ACADEMY MEMORIES!

BUKAYO SAYS: “My dad keeps everything for me, so I’ve got so many kits, pictures and even boots as well – I’ve got loads!”

EMILE SAYS: “I’m the same, to be fair. My mum’s got a box of old kits and stuff from ages ago. But that’s locked away, I’d have to ask her to find it!”

ARSENAL IDOLS!

BUKAYO SAYS: “When I was growing up, I liked Alexis Sanchez and then it was Aubameyang and Lacazette. When I came into the first team, David Luiz helped me a lot. He really went out of his way to give me advice and try to help me!”

EMILE SAYS: “Probably Cesc Fabregas for me – I looked up to him a lot! Obviously once I got into the first team it was Mesut Ozil, Aubameyang and Lacazette. Until you get to train with the players you don’t understand how good they are!”

FIRST SENIOR SESSION!

EMILE SAYS: “I remember my first first-team training session. Santi Cazorla was the best player I trained with – he was mad. He was running the whole session! I think all of us young players are nervous at first, but after a while you get used to it. I’ve settled so much!”

WORKING WITH ARTETA!

BUKAYO SAYS: “He’s been amazing for us. He really goes out of his way to help grow the individual qualities of each player. He’s definitely helped take my game to the next level. He gives a lot of detail but manages to be clear at the same time, which is probably the best thing about him!” EMILE SAYS: “Same, to be fair. He helps us young players so much and helps us to develop. It’s good to have him as our manager!”

PLAYING FOR ENGLAND!

BUKAYO SAYS: “I think that’s probably the biggest achievement of my career so far! To play for your country is the biggest thing, so every time I think about it I smile and I’m proud. I just want to try to stay in the team by keeping my form up and working hard!”

EMILE SAYS: “It was disappointing to go out of the Euros for the U21s last month, but it’s always a good achievement to be involved and be around really good players from different clubs. It’s still a big honour for me and my family!”

ULTIMATE OBJEcTIVES!

BUKAYO SAYS: “To win the Champions League!” EMILE SAYS: “The Champions League is up there, but obviously winning the Premier League as well!”
