DERBY DRAMA!
It’s gonna be a fierce fortnight of footy across the continent with not one, not two, but FOUR deadly derbies taking place in Europe’s top five leagues!
LE CLASSIQUE PSG v MARSEILLE
The two most successful Ligue 1 teams are also the only French teams to have won major European trophies! Marseille supporters still brag about being the only French side to win the Champions League, but they’ve been second best behind PSG in the league for quite some time. In fact, they’ve only beaten PSG once in their last 25 head-to-heads in all comps!

DER KLASSIKER B. DORTMUND v BAYERN MUNICH
People always talk about Bundesliga being a two-way battle between Bayern and Dortmund, but let’s be honest – it’s been super one-sided for the last decade! Bayern’s title success in 2021-22 was their tenth successive league victory, finishing eight points ahead of Dortmund. Bayern have won their last eight head-to-heads, scoring at least three goals in seven of those games!

EL CLASICO REAL MADRID v BARCELONA
These La Liga rivals met in a friendly over the summer – well, we say “friendly”, these two clubs never get on! A rash tackle by Jordi Alba on Vinicius sparked a coming together, with Barcelona going on to win 1-0 thanks to a Raphinha worldy. Xavi’s side embarrassed Real at the Santiago Bernabeu in March, winning 4-0 in the Spanish capital, but Madrid had the last laugh by doing the double!

TURIN DERBY TORINO v JUVENTUS
The Turin Derby was the first rivalry in Italian footy history and remains the longest ongoing meeting between two teams based in the same city! There’s a new pantomime villain in this fixture for this campaign, with Brazilian centre-back Bremer swapping Torino’s maroon shirt for the black-and-white stripes of their rivals. Boooo!
