IMPROVED JUMPING

-

Jumping your bike should feel controlled, smooth and predictable. It should never feel quick or off balance. If it does then you might have to work on the timing of your push. Having a slow, controlled drive against the whole shape of the jump will mean that 100 per cent of your control is achieved by pushing into the take off, meaning you can float over the gap with ease and come in for a smooth landing on the other side. Change that timing though and you can suck up the jump almost entirely, meaning you barely leave the ground at all. Most riders aren’t doing either of these, and instead do something in the middle that feels like they need more speed to make the distance. Let’s look at jumping and pre-jumping separately so you can understand the differences.
