Rampage 2021 – where do we begin? A spectacle that reaches more people around the world than any other mountain bike event. One we watch through our fingers, with a mixture of wonder and anxiety. And this year was no different, with some ugly crashes taking down big names and the finals themselves making for uncomfortable viewing after Tom Van Steenbergen’s terrible fall.

But there were many highlights too: Jackson Riddle’s huge, stylish run; Brandon Semenuk’s clinical, yet innovative combos; Cam

Zink’s wild, injury-defying run and snoozing toddler embrace. But while drone footage, POV cameras and multiple angles mean the live TV coverage is better than ever, sometimes you need a good old still photo to really put things into perspective. Even the moves that barely get a mention on the live feed are gnarly as hell. Like Reed Bogg’s sniper-ridge death-chute here. Mind blown.
