Getting a sunrise shot is always a challenge; making sure everything comes together and you summit at precisely the right moment. Bags to pack, bikes to prep, alarms to set. Then there’s the act of dragging yourself out of bed while it’s still dark out and it feels as though your head has barely touched the pillow. But when you nail your timings and hit the first few turns off the summit as the sun cracks the horizon, all that effort is instantly worthwhile.
