MADISON TARGET GLASSES £9.99
Madison makes great sunglasses. Last summer the Enigma impressed us with its blend of style, lens quality and coverage, and all for just £25. Now there’s something even more affordable called the Target. It features the same polycarbonate scratchresistant lens with full UVA and UVB protection. Last time round testing the Enigma, we found it had excellent clarity, definition and contrast, while nothing of the frame got into the periphery to mess up our vision.
The Target’s frame is a little more modest, but it still features good all-round coverage, and it’s remarkably comfortable to wear… not something we’ve ever experienced before from a sub-£10 set of glasses. That’s probably down to the adjustable nose piece that lets you move the lenses further or closer to your face to find the sweet spot for venting and fit. Then there are rubbery grippers on the arms, to hold it all in place, and a soft case for portage when they’re not sat comfortably on your face. Finally, there’s even a limited lifetime warranty. Eye protection doesn’t have to cost a fortune and the Target proves it needn’t be the preserve of the richest riders out there, so here’s to Madison for serving everyday riders. freewheel.co.uk
