KNEE BALANCE

-

With all this talk of keeping your upper body neutral and stable, how do you take out any minor imbalances or unwanted slides? The answer is to free up your legs and knees to do all those little corrections in balance. What we’re talking about here is basically sticking a knee out in order to angulate towards where you want to go. Entering a camber close to the bike will mean you can handle more movement if it happens, but popping the uphill knee out will also mean that if you slide on the camber you are already facing the way you need to face in order to correct the slide. Don’t overthink it. Just concentrate on being stable at the front and loosen up your knees and hips to let the back end do what it wants
