‘I sometimes hear the hugger rattling’

Dr Know prescribes This needs fixing right away. If it were to fall off it could lock the rear wheel and have you off. It’s an aftermarket hugger and it’s a pretty bad design, as it’s only fixed by two bolts located on the chainguard. It needs to be fixed at a third point, which does mean drilling into the swingarm. If you’re reluctant to drill into the swingarm then this hugger needs throwing in the bin. If you still want a hugger, make sure it secures to the bike in more than two places.
