Although the ignition and fuel cap are keyless, the panniers are not, they’re opened by a key that’s on the same ring as my ignition transponder. While I was in Iceland, I pulled over to take something out of my boxes. Only, once I’d finished, I managed to ride off with the key still in the lock, the bike started because the transponder was still within range of the ignition. Luckily, when I stopped for something to eat I spotted them still in the pannier.
