V85TT

-

853cc transverse V-twin 78bhp and 59ftlb 229kg (kerb) £TBC

The V85TT delivers a comfortable and well-spec’d road ride while allowing owners a bit of dirty fun, too. The V85 is a largely new engine with a new crankshaft mated to new, stiffer conrods and shorter piston skirts, resulting in a 30% drop in rotating mass. The engine also uses titanium intake valves to enable the use of a more aggressive cam profile within the two-valve heads. The 21-litre tank should get you 250 miles or so between stops and there’s traction control, ABS, three riding modes (Road, Rain or Off-Road), and cruise control; all controlled via the full-colour TFT Bluetooth-enabled dash.

The 19in/17in rim sizes are clearly a compromise, but should allow good manners on road and off it.
