Zero FX gets a reboot
Proof electric machines don’t have to look geeky
While there’s no doubting that electric motorcycles are the future, design-wise they can often be found a little lacking. That’s not a problem for this bike, however, as Huge Moto have given a Zero something of a makeover. Starting with an FXS, which will currently set you back just over £10,000, Huge have reshaped the bike from a weird bugeyed monster into something that wouldn’t be out of place in Tron. The futuristic design was all done in CAD, far away from the normal image of custom bikes being sheet metal and grinders. The shape does a great job of masking the big battery park while also giving a look that isn’t a million miles away from a Husqvarna Vitpilen. Interestingly, Huge say the inspiration for the muscular shape came from karate legend Bruce Lee.
We’ve seen Huge’s work before when they created some kits for the Honda Fireblade, designed to replace the standard bodywork without any cutting of the frame so the bike can be returned to stock if desired. They’ve repeated that method here, so this Zero has been designed entirely for mass-consumption. They’ve not announced a price yet but their Blade kit was £4000.
