“I’ve always loved Triumphs. A friend was selling it at a great price and I couldn’t say no. It’s a beautiful bike with simple mechanics and rides nicely with a few changes.
“It was my first big bike but I also own a Honda Grom and have owned an XJR1300 as well.
“I mostly use it for weekend trips but have been further, too. It has been around Europe including Norway and Sweden and I’ll be doing plenty more of Europe and the UK this year on the Bonneville once I’ve given her some TLC.
“What I like about the Scrambler is its beautiful styling with room for customisation. Thanks to the raised suspension and larger wheels it fits me perfectly and I like that is has ABS and Traction Control, but not much else. One of the things that puts me off many modern bikes is the complicated electronics.
“If I could justify the expense, I’d swap for one in a heartbeat.”
