Conception

“Someone will have been looking at our bikes online and will say ‘I like this one, but in this colour or with this accessory,’” says Shaun. “A custom can cost from £8500 upwards.”

Strip show

Once a bike is delivered, Shaun will strip it down. Generally he won’t remove the engine on a modern bike.

Sourcing parts Shaun will gather together any parts that he doesn’t physically make himself such as wheels and suspension.

Colour match

“Paint choice and design is the hardest part, so I put the owner in contact with our painter,” says Shaun. “Getting the idea out of an owner’s mind and onto a tank is best left to professionals.”

Final countdown It can take up to a week to assemble the final custom. Any bespoke spacers/hangers etc are built in-house.

Delivery

“Some owners collect, others don’t,” says Shaun. “They can be anything from gentry to an average bloke.”
