One of the rare occasions where Rossi didn’t come out top. Crashing out and taking former Ducati hero Stoner with him seemed a fitting metaphor for Rossi’s miserable time with the Bologna marque. Afterwards the Aussie infamously told Rossi: “Obviously your ambition outweighs your talent!”
