Done by simply twisting his foot on an enduro bike, Rossi again broke the tibia and fibula in his leg just days before his home race at Misano. Some observers wrote him off due to his age but the Italian stunned the world by returning to action only three weeks later and taking an impressive fifth at Aragon.
