Get your kid into racing

M4 Karting have been involved in the UK minimoto race scene since 1998 and run their own Race School for young riders on a Sunday, costing £35 for a morning. You can race a minimoto from six years old and there is a national Cool FAB eight-round championship on outdoor tracks with various classes depending on the bike’s power output. A competitive bike costs from £1700 to £4500 with entry fees roughly £120 a weekend and around 20 riders per ten-lap race. It’s competitive, but friendly. www.fab-racing.co.uk
