Before today, I always assumed that I’d have to brake later than someone to get past them, and braking later than you’re comfortable with is always a scary prospect. But now I realise that I can still brake at the same place, but just let go of the brakes earlier and then coast into the corner and past the rider in front. “His tip about looking through the rider in front and concentrating on the corner apex has also helped me stop fixating on the person I’m trying to pass and just getting sucked into following them. Also, just studying how cleanly and safely Neevesy was able to get by me has inspired me to do the same.”
