Tested by Oli Rushby, six months This is Dainese’s first sport-touring jacket featuring airbag technology. The jacket boasts a premium look, which you’d expect with the hefty price tag of £1699.95, and as a dayto-day jacket fulfils its role well. The removable thermal layer makes things cosy in winter, while the Gore-Tex is breathable and there are a number of sizeable vents. It’s not let me down once in a rain shower, which again is reassuring given the price. The airbag is easy to use, arming whenever the jacket is zipped up. It’s powered by a lithiumion battery which covers about 24 hours of riding, and takes two hours to charge. At over 4kg the jacket is heavy and a little cumbersome in warm weather.
