“My first Z1000SX was a 2014 model without ABS and with a daily commute of 70 miles each way I wanted something with ABS as I was having some close calls. The Z1000SX had cornering ABS from 2016, so in March last year I got one – in my favourite colour orange and with panniers, it was a no-brainer. “I had problems with this bike, with the sub-throttle valve actuator (service code 62). It was still under warranty and was almost two months at the dealer. But I really like this bike, especially the engine and gearbox, and we’ve been to the Lake District, Isle of Wight and done the NC500 in Scotland.
“But the Z1000SX lacks extras like cruise control and electronic suspension, the nice bits a sportstourer should have. That’s why the H2 SX SE+ appeals – it’s the only hyperbike in the touring world and has all the bits like cruise control, electronic suspension and, of course, a supercharger!”
