‘Promises true 50/50 performance’
If your bike spends as much time off road as it does on road, the current crop of dual sport tyres mean one aspect of your ride always has to compromise. However, Dunlop’s new Trailmax Mission claim to have knobblie-like performance off road as well as impressive grip, stability and comfort on road for true 50/50 performance. The tubeless design features an aggressive tread pattern for finding traction in hard terrain, yet the unique Staggered Step design claims to provide rigidity in the contact patch to enhance on-road stability and handling. Meanwhile, thanks to a combination of new compounds and bespoke front/rear tread patterns, Dunlop say that independent tests on a Suzuki V-Strom 1000 show a lifespan in excess of 8000 miles for the rear and even more on the front.
