Trackdays restart in England, and they’re deluged with eager riders
Circuit enthusiasts flock as trackdays start again in England
Trackdays have restarted at major English circuits, following a temporary halt due to Covid-19. As MCN went to press on Monday night, No Limits trackdays were already scheduled to take place at Cadwell Park and Donington Park with a further nine dates added across next month. Unsurprisingly, the days have provoked a fair bit of interest from riders who’ve been couped up at home. “We did five weeks’ worth of bookings in two-and-a-half days,” said, Mark Neate, owner of No Limits. “The main thing to note is that we need people to obey the distancing rules on the day.” Meanwhile track owners MotorSport Vision’s own MSVT events are set to begin on Monday, June 1, with a bike trackday at Donington GP and Snetterton 300. Alongside the MSV tracks, June dates are also being advertised at venues including Mallory Park, Lydden Hill and Croft. Although MSV were unavailable for a comment at the time of writing, both they and No Limits are taking precautions to comply with latest guidance. Both have issued instructions on how to minimise risk and No Limits have added extra staff to monitor social distancing measures.
There will be limited circuit access, no overnight camping, briefings sent via video link at MSV circuits and more. Anyone knowingly booked into the wrong group with No Limits will be asked to leave. Non-MSV tracks will provide a written briefing.
No Limits say that should events be cancelled due to the virus, all customers will receive a credit note for a future trackday.
