Yes it’s only six rounds, but with them all being triple-headers we’re going to do 18 races and we only do 27 races normally so we’re only nine races down. Whether you love him or hate him Stuart Higgs generally makes the right decisions. The team have been well informed throughout while it will always be dependent on guidelines, we now have something in place Ijust hopethe fans can be there too.

The calendar looks good for me as we’re not going to tracks I’ve struggled at, like Cadwell, and we’re only going to Outlon once! I think they’ve done well to get to these tracks and they are all good venues and in my opinion tracks that suit the Yamaha. The triple-headers are different but I think it makes it more exciting because everyone wants to see the racing . We’re there to race bikes so the more races the better.

I think thecalendar is as goodas anyone could haveexpected and all the circuits we’re going to are top venues with good facilities. BSB is always going to deliver good racinganda strong championship andIhopethat there is no reason why we can’t have fans there. It’s going to be crucial to finish every race – no DNFs. We’ve prepared well like we always do and it is our aim to hit the ground running.

These really are unprecedented times, so being able to get their calendar together is testament to the organisers. The format is different and with it being a shorter season and no Showdown, a DNF in any race is going to be pretty damning for anyone. It may be a case that you could finish third or fourth in every race and end up winning the championship. At the end of the day a cool head is really going to prevail.
