Movie tribute CCM goes on sale
Film star Scarlett Johansson rode one, now you can too
‘CCM provided six machines for the new movie’
This special edition Spitfire is new from CCM and is being produced to celebrate the machines the Bolton firm supplied for the upcoming Marvel Avengers movie, Black Widow.
As ridden by Scarlett Johansson, the Blackout is based on the popular 600cc street single but rather than being a replica of the machines CCM supplied for the movie, which had a more rugged, utilitarian look, it shares their ‘spirit’, the firm say, and is ‘designed to pay homage and emulate its style’.
As such the Blackout has a hand-painted, metallic black colourscheme with contrasting grey panels and red stitching complemented by red anodised fork yokes. There’s a dark grey microsuede dual seat while the Spitfire’s signature handwelded tubular steel trellis frame also has a black powder coated finish. Other details include a new, high-mounted, slash-cut, twin exhaust, 19in/17in wire wheels fitted with aggressive, knobbly dualsport tyres and the punchy, 600cc motor benefits from a new performance map with revised gearing to suit. The bike was unveiled at the Malle Mile last week and is priced from £8995 with three optional accessory packs, Action, Hero and Legend, also available. CCM’s involvement in Black Widow follows their bikes appearing in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider way back in 2001 and came about, the firm say, after they were pipped at the post by Triumph to feature in new Bond flick No Time To Die. Following that setback, CCM were approached to supply bikes for a movie the stunt team were also working on with the result being an order for six identical, specially-prepared machines for Black Widow.
The new Avengers film is due in cinemas nationwide from November 6.
