DESTINATION TRIUMPH IS UP AND RUNNING

As lockdown eases this brilliant new dealership gives Dorset a flagship home for Triumph motorcycles

-

Perfectly timed to tie in with the relaxation of lockdown restrictions for bike dealerships, Triumph has announced the opening of an all-new dealership – Destination Triumph, based in Christchurch, Dorset. The stunning new site will be welcoming new and existing Triumph riders, motorcyclists and motorbike enthusiasts alike to explore the new showroom and workshop facilities. All visitors will be asked to book an appointment to ensure social distancing guidelines are adhered to as we ease towards normality. With an investment of around half a million pounds, this state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility on Stoney Lane in Christchurch will serve customers who used to go to Three Cross Motorcycles as well as attracting new riders to delve into the exciting Triumph model line-up. Destination Triumph Dorset is the third Triumph dealership in the Destination portfolio, owned by Ian Sexton and Pete Parker, alongside two successful operations in Fareham (Solent) and Washington. The new location in Christchurch is ideally situated for both customer convenience due to the excellent road network and provides another south coast location.

With the sad and sudden demise of Three Cross Motorcycles, Triumph Motorcycles GB were keen to ensure not to lose their presence in the area. Pete Parker, Managing Director of Destination Triumph, commented: “We are delighted to be representing Triumph Motorcycles in the Dorset area. The product range is second to none in the 500cc plus market, and our relationship with the factory is engaging and supportive. Whilst some may consider such an investment ambitious during the global Covid pandemic, we took the view that private transport would increase and that a brand as strong as Triumph has proven to be will also, in the case of Dorset, be a long-term opportunity.”

General Manager Martin Pullen, who has been in motorcycle retail management for the last 15 years, will head up the dealership.

The dealership has given Dorset a new biker hangout for the future and has already created 15 jobs. As the dealership continues to grow, it will offer additional employment opportunities. Destination Triumph is very much an ambitious group and much admired within the motor industry, and Parker added: “Whilst we are not seeking to grow at any cost, we will consider further opportunities which provide organic expansion within an appropriate geographic operating area.”
