MK BIKE SHOW

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend topped with a familyfriendly atmosphere and a bargain or two, then the Milton Keynes Bike Show could be the perfect rideout. The show has previously been run by the folks from the MK Advanced Riders Group, but this year it’s having a revamp. Matt Cove, Events Director at MK Bike Show said: “It has been run by volunteers, a labour of love, and it was decided that they didn’t want to do all the selling and chasing. So, we’ve taken it on this first year to see how it operates and see how we can work with the existing traders and bike groups because we have a whole range of people there exhibiting and showcasing themselves.”

With traders and stalls from all around the motorcycle industry, there’s plenty to see and do, but the magic of the previous shows hasn’t been lost. Matt continued: “We wanted to retain the community feel brought by the volunteer group from Milton Keynes Advanced Motorcyclists.

They’re the team that started and still support it, and as a business, we have to reflect what their ethos was and still is. Part of that is still making sure we have a nominated charity. So, where we can make profit, or we can encourage the traders to have collection stands, we’ll be collecting for Serv-OBN which are the Blood Bikes.”

Although there is an option to support the charity, the show is free to attend, and there is ample free parking outside of the stadium.

Matt added: “It’s just a nice relaxed feel. You can walk around, meet with groups, meet with friends and family and hopefully pick up some bargains along the way.”
