THE UK’S FINEST CUSTOMS
Become inspired to create something unique
Built magazine has curated a dazzling display of custom bikes for this year’s Carole Nash MCN London Show, featuring the very best bike building talent from across the UK. Over a dozen machines will be on display spanning a spectrum of builds from eyeball popping paintwork to subtle retro chic. Here’s a handful of the machines you can see in the Built Custom Zone, styled by Spidi…
Moto Milo ‘Sanzoku’
A masterclass in fabrication, Sanzoku features a handmade alloy fuel tank, mudguards and airbox. Mikuni RS36 carbs improve the bike’s Suzuki Bandit 1200 motor, the four-into-two exhausts work with the clean lines. Italian leather on the seat, grips and frame covers add an additional layer of class.
Side Rock Cycles ‘Bruiser’
Based on a 1984 BMW R80, Side Rock Cycles’ ‘Bruiser’ packs a punch with a Siebenrock 1000cc power kit, rebuilt motor and 34mm Mikuni carbs, while S1000RR radial calipers on 320mm floating discs ensure it stops as well as it goes.
Sykes ‘46’
In tribute to the great Valentino Rossi, the ‘46’ is the latest in a series of Rossi themed machines created by the Sykes Speed & Custom workshop. Based on the HarleyDavidson Street Bobber, each one produced has different cosmetic details, paint and finishes that make it truly unique.
V-Moto S4R Monster
Featuring an S4R Monster engine squeezed into a heavily modified ST4 frame, the petrol tank is taken from a Ducati 999, the seat unit from a Norton Domiracer – and all the bespoke parts were fabricated in-house by V-Moto.
Krazy Horse ‘Bad Company’
Part of Indian Motorcycle’s ‘Project Scout 3K’ lockdown competition where builders were restricted to a £3000 budget and 16 weeks to build and submit a custom Indian Scout. Krazy Horse took inspiration from the 1970s with a decoupage tank and rear mudguard made from old bike and car magazines, while a mock crocodile skin seat, trumpet silencers and cat’s eye tail lights complete the look.
