Police keen to return stolen bikes to owners following arrests

-

Dorset Police have shared images of four stolen off-road motorcycles, in a bid to return them to their rightful owners.

The bikes, including a lowcapacity Honda CRF and two Yamaha PW50s, were located following the search of an address in Poole on Tuesday 20 February.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen goods and remains on police bail while the investigation continues. As we went to press, a Dorset Police spokesperson confirmed to MCN that no vehicles had yet been returned to their owners, with the force now keen for people to come forward.

“An investigation is underway into this incident, and we are carrying out inquiries into the theft of the items,” PC Mark Carlton told us. “I am issuing images of the stolen items and would ask anyone who has information about who they may belong to please contact us.”

Anyone with information should visit dorset.police.uk or call 101 quoting 55240026381. Crimestoppers can also be contacted – completely anonymously – on 0800 555 111.

It wasn’t just motorcycles recovered during the police operation: officers shared images of a number of power tools and a bicycle that also need to be returned to their owners.

The action led to five arrests in total across three incidents – the tools were recovered when officers pulled over and searched a vehicle in Longham, near Bournemouth. Inside the vehicle, the police discovered a number of power tools and gardening equipment that were all suspected as having been stolen.

A 17-year-old boy from Bournemouth and a 16-year-old boy from the New Forest area were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen goods. They remain on police bail at this time.
