Hailwood the brave

I was watching the superbikes on TV and the commentator mentioned Mike Hailwood being awarded the George Cross, which I had forgotten. As you do, I Googled 'Mike Hailwood GC' and went to YouTube to look at the film; Mike was very brave and modest about it. I also found a video of the post-TT race at Mallory Park in 1978. Having been watching modern superbike racing, the contrast in riding styles between then and now is tremendous. Hailwood never puts a knee out nor climbed all over his bike, but he beautiful to watch just smooth and very fast.
