GET YOUR CLOCKS OUT

It’s strange how we’ve become so accustomed to digital displays which have now moved so far away from analogue dials that the traditional-looking clocks on the Triumph and Kawasaki both look from a different age, refreshingly so. In truth, both are thoroughly modern, electronic and also subtly neat LCD panels – particularly the Zed with its ‘reversed’ centre panel. The Ducati, meanwhile, has taken an altogether different path with stylised round and oblong LCD displays that detail a thoroughly modern array of functions and menus.

TRIUMPH Ornate Thruxton clocks remind us of an expensive watch but are hardest to decipher, lack ambient temperature gauge and gear indicator is too small.
