A huge group rideout to remember

PLYMOUTH MEGARIDE, LEE MILL INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, IVYBRIDGE, PL21 9PB AUGUST 12

-

The Plymouth MegaRide is now one of the largest charity rides in the country. Thousands take part in this gathering, which this year is raising money for ‘Chapter 2 – New Beginnings’, a local charity that works with survivors of child abuse.

The route Turn right on to Beech Road and follow it across fields to Cornwood and Wotter. Take a right turn to Cadover Bridge, then right at the hairpin, signposted Sheepstor, and you’ll find a narrow lane that runs to Dousland. Turn right on to the wild and remote B3212 until you reach the B3357, then turn right again. The Badger’s Holt at Dartmeet makes a good tea stop, otherwise follow the twists to the A38, where you’ll find a filling station. Head south on the A38, take the A384 to Shinners Bridge then the A385 to Totnes. Turn right on to the A381 to Halwell, Morleigh and Diptford. When you reach the Plymouth road, it’s a short cruise back to the start.
