Not Ray’s day
Bradley Ray’s misfortune continued at Thruxton despite making a breakthrough with the lack of front-end feel that plagued him at Brands Hatch.
A test at Cadwell Park earlier in the week revealed an issue with an engine map the Buildbase Suzuki rider had been using. It was causing him to push the front harder into turns and a revised map fixed the issue immediately. However, while Ray was able to demonstrate strong pace across the weekend he was unable to turn it into race results as he crashed out of the opening race, taking Danny Buchan and Michael Laverty with him, before a technical issue in race two saw him finish down in 12th.
