Marquez flies at test
Marc Marquez kicked off his preparations for the 2019 season in the best way possible by topping a one-day test at Brno following Sunday’s race. Taking to the track alongside his rivals for the official test, he got the first opportunity to try out a series of new parts intended for 2019, but which could come into play as early as this weekend in Austria.
“We need to understand why the others can use softer front tyres and why we struggle with it when the temperature is high,” he said. “That’s why I rode a lot at 3pm when the sun was high. We’re leading the championship and we’ll start with what we know, but during the weekend at Austria we’ll see if we can try a few things that were positive at Brno.”
