It’s just had its second service (£160) via a Wheels Motorcycles service plan. I took out one of their service plans when I bought my Hayabusa there and transferred it to the Crosstourer. It allows you to spread the cost of servicing as well as giving you extra benefits like free puncture repairs and discounts. I’ve still got the OE Bridgestone Battlewing 502 tyres and they’re only just starting to square off, so they’ve lasted well. They’re good in all conditions. I have taken the bike down a dirt trail a few times, but nothing that you’d call serious offroading. I think that’s the case with a lot of bikes of this type; few people ever take them over rough terrain. It’s like four-wheel-drive cars; they’re a style thing really. But for big days in the saddle, it certainly lives up to the ‘tourer’ part of its name.”
