MCN VERDICT
It’s hard to separate these three. All have their own quirks and benefits. For gentle B-road summer rides in an open face lid it’d be the Ducati every time. For a quicker A-road blast to the coast, knitting corners together and surfing that wave of character, it’s the Triumph. But if you’re looking for a versatile, retro do-it-all the Zed can almost match the other two while also being more practical, comfier and £2000 cheaper. With a minor injection of character – like a rortier exhaust and a few choice accessories – it could be the perfect retro.
