CCM battle for Britain
British firm CCM are to launch a new Spitfire model, with the aim of raising £100,000 for RAF veterans. A £1000 chunk of the Spitfire’s £18,000 price will go to the RAF Benevolent fund. Based on the 600cc, 55bhp single-cylinder Bobber, the colour of the tank mimics the prototype Spitfire K5054 built in 1936 and each bike will have a piece of Spitfire fuselage welded into the frame. The bike also features hand-stitched leather panniers and an RAF100 front numberplate. Production starts next year.
