Carbon boost for Suzuki’s race hopes
Suzuki rider Alex Rins continued to work with the Japanese manufacturer’s new carbon fibrebraced chassis, after listening to the feedback from test rider Sylvain Guintoli and gambling on it last time out in Brno. Finishing Sunday’s race eighth and well ahead of team-mate Andrea Iannone in 13th, Rins’ new chassis is believed to give greater stiffness to the frame under braking while still helping to retain the nimble chassis’ much-prized mid-corner turning.
