Zarco can’t help Yamaha
While the factory riders were again struggling, Monster Yamaha Tech3 rider Johann Zarco was able to pull together a decent race to come home in the top ten and ahead of Viñales. Admitting that it had been a tough race for him, he put the problems down in part to tyre choices. Given that both Zarco and Tech3 will be switching to KTM in 2019, they have been exiled from the M1’s development plans, leaving Rosssi and Viñales to shoulder the entire ongoing development alone.
