Hegarty grave upset

Bingham Town Council were forced to make a rapid ‘unreserved’ apology to the family of racer Dan Hegarty, who lost his life at last year’s Macau GP, after covering his grave on the anniversary of his passing. On arrival at his graveside his family were distraught to discover a mound of earth from a nearby grave excavation piled over Hegarty’s resting place. The council have promised a review of their procedures.
