The characteristics of the new Triumph engine means there are new ways for riders to produce fast lap times. Until now the previous less powerful, fourcylinder, 600cc Honda machines had all been about rushing into turns and holding high corner speed. And while this may still work with Triumph’s new, more powerful and torquey 765 triple, its extra bhp means riders could also brake late, stop mid-corner and fire it out on the exit. This mix of styles and lines is expected to deliver more interesting racing.
